Refunds & Cancellation Policy

1. Pricing

Prices are shown on our pricing page before you buy. They are in New Zealand dollars and include GST. There are no hidden fees or setup charges. The price, billing period, renewal and these cancellation terms are shown before you pay.

2. Renewal

If you buy a recurring plan (monthly or yearly), it renews at the end of each period at the then-current price until you cancel. If the price changes we tell you at least 30 days before it applies to you, and you can cancel before it takes effect.

3. How to cancel

Cancel a UteWise subscription yourself at any time from Settings in your account (Manage or cancel subscription). For anything else, contact us at the contact details in the footer of this page from the email address on your account. We will confirm your cancellation in writing within 2 working days. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.

4. Refunds

• 14-day money-back guarantee: if you are not satisfied with your first purchase, ask us within 14 days of buying and we will refund it in full.
• After that we do not refund part-used periods, except where the law requires or where we cannot provide the Service.
• Refunds go back to the original payment method, normally within 5–10 working days.

4A. Website Builder

• Website Builder prices are in New Zealand dollars and do not include GST.
• The free 30-day trial needs no card and never charges you automatically. Monthly plans are charged by Stripe and renew each month until you cancel under Billing in the builder. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
• Custom builds are arranged only by contacting us. They are not bought through the website, and the price, including any extra charge for larger or more complex work, is agreed with you in writing before we start.
• Domain names are bought from, and renewed with, your own registrar. Their fees are between you and them, and we cannot refund them.
• If you cancel or stop paying, your website goes offline after 3 days and is kept for 30 days before it is permanently deleted, as set out in our Terms of Use. Download anything you need before then.
• Basic SEO is an optional extra for each website. You can turn it off at any time, and the unused part of the month is credited to your next bill. We do not promise search rankings, so no refund is due only because a website did not rank. This does not limit your legal rights (see section 5).
• If we agree to set up your domain for you, and a fee was agreed, it is refunded if we cannot complete the set-up.

5. Your legal rights

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the Fair Trading Act 1986 or any other law that cannot be excluded. If the Service is not provided with reasonable care and skill, or does not do what we said it would, you may be entitled to a repair, refund or other remedy.

6. Licence suspension

If a licence is revoked because of a serious breach of our Terms of Use, no refund is due for the remaining period, to the extent the law allows.
